Default Drags This Weekend

Hey Folks, been doing a lot of weather watching and reading in this particular section of Ford Forums and found that Friday night will be raining and ssturday is expected to be fine plus I noticed there's a lot of people not happy with the 'atmosphere' at Calder lately.

SO instead of going to Calder this friday, why don't you head out to Heathcote on saturday. The meet is for all Fords from Mild to Wild, costs $40 to race, $10 to spectate, there are trophies available and it will be a great day, with plenty of nice cars heading up there.

Other makes are welcome but will not be eligible for trophies as it is a Ford day. So far there are 32 vehicles on the list to race with ET's ranging from 10's to 18's.

If you want to go, just PM me or leave a message in reply to this thread and I will make sure your name is on the list.

Cheers
C U There

Mickey Thomspon street radials. So a bit of both I guess. Does it make a difference on the day?

Yeah cars using any or all of the following: slicks/nitrous/race fuel/open pipes will be classified as competition cars and run off for their own trophy, seperate from the "stockers"

Would the street radials still be street tyres? They are DOT approved.

How does the competition work? Is it like a knockout comp against the car next to you? Ive never been to a proper drag day, only the AFF meets.

Yeah basically at the end of the day its an elimination style process for a bit of fun. You line up whoever is next to you and race off. If you lose you're out and the winner goes through to the next round. There will probably be grudge races afterwards tho.

Cool! I cant wait! Is it a DYO setup or just first across the line wins?

Should be a good day regardless, I cant wait to see what the AU is capable of with traction

Yeah if people still want to...

Dan, Mal said that if the car ever goes down the quarter he'd take me for a spin, but he sold it before he got the chance so I reckon you should stick to his promise :party3:
