Default KH laser - fan not kicking in

I'm having issues with my 93 kh laser where the engine overheats, and i think it's because the fan is not kicking in. any suggestions on what to do?

get two wires running from the battery and direct test the fan

replace the resistor /check all the wirin connections

fit a new thermostatic operation switch

go to a wrecker and buy one that works

Easiest way to check the fan is to unplug the thermo switch near the distributor. It will have a single wire going to it. The fan should run with the wire disconnected and the ignition on.
If it doesnt, you will have to look further for a wiring or fan motor fault.
If it does, the wiring is fine and the thermo switch is stuffed.
