Default Oh hope its Insured? re Shannons

Spring Nats 2006

Well in the morning we went to the Shep Springnats and after walking around a bit we looked over the hill and saw a Fire Truck, I asked my mate what it was doing and he said they were doing an emergency demonstration.

This is what we saw:-

Some Smashed Glass on the Road

Then:-

The got a Bit Closer:-

And Hmmmmmmmm - Its the GoGGO Mobile......

Now they took this car out onto the Skid Pad doing handbrakies and as the wheels/tyres are thin and tall they were flexing something shocking and this was bound to happen.

Where this happened it looked like they came sideways around the corner and flipped it.

There were smashed sunny's and a bit of blood on the ground and I didn't see the actual accident and I don't know what actually happend but i can tell you it was being driven past its limit.

Thats really scary!
I hope no one was seriously injured. It is a potentially fatal accident as the driver/passengers are so exposed.

funny that its illegal to have a full rollcage yet fine to drive without a roof.

I hope the driver is ok and car can be repaired. choice of repairer? That might be handy too :P

Having driven that thing.....ouch. You'd have to be game to put it above 60kph, let alone put it in a situation like that.

If we see the next shannons ad and the guy is in a neckbrace then we know who was driving it.

Ah the good old DECA track, bites another......hope no one hurt. The circuit is a little tricky and the close proximity to trees doesnt help either.

Given that I put that sticker on the car myself, no it doesnt hold a clue as to who was driving it.

One of my friends was watching it at the time, he said that there was some guy videoing the other guy going around, and he was egging him on to go faster, so he did, and it flipped on top of him. Apparently he had no helmet, or even seatbelt on and my mate feared the worst. Luckily the car landed mainly on his arm, so I think he got away with a broken arm and a smaller cut on his head. Funnily enough, according to my mate, the guy with the video camera was nowhere to be seen just after the accident occurred.
I'm thinking someone is going to be losing their job on this one.

There's an emo kid!

I wonder if we will ever see the video footage?

Lucky the driver is okay, it could have been much more disastrous.

Mate of mine asked me about this today, whether it was true or not. He was a bit bummed when he found out it was!

To be honest I am too though, its a mint car given the amnount of shows it goes to etc and it always gets attention. I know when we had it in Wagga for AFD youd walk away and 30 seconds later there would always be somebody new looking at it.

Not only at the AFD but also when it was parked down in the sturt mall, there were people constantly looking at it.

I had seen it a few times previously but even then everytime you see it you just have to go get yourself another look, it just that type of car...

Not good to see it like this, hopefully it gets fixed and ready for some more shows, defiantly one of the most travelled show cars around...

I hope they are looking at getting that little tacker back on the road asap, it certainly was a show stopper at the the Wagga Wagga display in the shopping center, nearly everyone stopped to have a look at it.

Even at the show it certainly put a smile or 2 on peoples faces.
