If those guys are so willing to pay tickets, of course the police are going to be around. $$$. I have to admit though, that police presence is insane.

That's a rally style event through Canada and America known as the Bull Run.

The bloke in the, Claus, Porsche has won it a few years ago and is a legend. He is always the man to beat.

I would one day love to enter it. While outright contenders go nuts like these guys, you don't have to. The social events seem heaps of fun. A few years ago, an Aussie couple went over, called it there honeymoon, brought a big old Pink Convertible Caddy, bulls horns and all. Got married in Vegas on the second last night.

History

The Bullrun rally first started on June 4, 2004 and traveled from Hollywood Blvd CA to Miami Fla. This first event attracted 100 plus cars and much media attention. After the success of the first rally its momentum built up to the point in 2007 Spike TV broadcast a series “Bullrun Reality Show”. Being on Spike TV toned down the event and speeders were disqualified unlike the non TV events where traffic tickets were common occurrences. In 2010 the Bullrun returned to its roots and relaxed the rules somewhat. The creator was Andy Duncan who produced the successful “Bullrun Reality Show”, and also produces “Inside West Coast Customs” as well.

Oh yeah, these lads attract a bit of attention from Plod.

.

I too would love to do the bullrun!

Then there was the uk couple that won the lottery that decided to do it" bought themselves a roller, I think, and just cruised the race.

Hmmmm and here i was thinking that this sorta thing never happens in the USA.. golly gee! Who woulda known?

The cop at the start has a very good attitude (trying to install humour into a situtation can defuse tensions).

The 3rd pull over they pay the cop a $100??? Er umm..... im hoping that not a bribe, but if you can pay a cop in cash for a fine that leaves things WIDE open for corruption surely?

Pennsilvania law requires you to change lanes and drive in the far lane away from a vehicle pulled over???? wow....

I would have thought that it would be common courtesy, to give people on the side of the road a bit of room.

haha! Funny, they would be taking a lot longer speeding and being pulled over every so often than sitting at the limit!

When I am in a hurry for a plane or whatever, when I CANT be late I actually dont speed by too much, maybe just 10 over as I cant waste my time with cops.

It's crazy how America have different cops for each town, county and state. So you could be in one town and have three different type of cop pull you over.

Have you seen the tv "documentaries" on the bull run though? Most of the guys on there are just witless rich guys rather than car enthusiasts. Worst tv ever
