You've lost me. Is the handbrake slightly on or is the light slightly on or are they both slightly on, am I slightly getting this?

The Light Is Slightly On And Thats Making Me Think Either It;s Just A Electric Fault Or Could The Hand Brake Be On Slightly?(if That Makes Any More Sence)

What he is trying to say is;

the handbrake light stay's on once he has released the handbrake! He is curious to know whether it is an electrical/wirering *spelling* fault or, is his handbrake not going down all the way? maybe getting jammed on something?

i think that's what he is trying to say???

I would say it's electrical/wiring only because when I had my alarm fitted, the light stayed on very dimmly with the handbrake down and I took it back and was told a wire was touching. Moved the wire and it was fixed.

yeah what frdgal said sounds about right, i reckon it's just earthing out somewhere it shouldn't if the handbrake as still on enough for the sensor to pick up on it the light will illuminate completely and makes a high pitched noise, i've played around with that on mine before because it annoys my girlfriend:P

xr6 ausome please make sure you let us know what the issue was, when you find it. Got a call from a mate this afternoon and his AU has had the same issue for a while but he can't figure out why.

The handbrake light comes on if you're low on brake fluid but it would come on completely so it's probably not that but it's worth checking.
