Interesting too about Hellcat Charger & Challenger also coming here?
Mustang, Dodge.... Camaro sure to follow.. Going to be some new muscle on our streets in the future I reckon?

Camaro isn't being built in RHD according to GM engineers, as of last week. |

His opinion is that GM's decision not to bring the Camaro only strengthens his proposal as the only competitor really will be the mustang for the challenger and their own 300C for the charger. He's currently back in the states pushing the proposal now. We'll know in time I guess. Be great if it happens |

Ive said this before. If we see challanger or charger here, (along with Mustang and Camaro) it will be the base-mid level models, and we'll be paying through the nose for it. Over double. Its like its a rarefied privilege to own an american base model car in oz that is a dime a dozen in the states. The worst part is people pay it.

I know of a few people who have already put down a deposit on a Hellcat GC on the hope it comes down under.
The current SRT pulls mid 4's to 100 now, so should be a lot of fun with a further 200 odd kw on board.

Hopefully disgruntled owners will remove the engine before they set the things on fire, take to them with a sledgehammer, etc.

Good times ahead for the SRT Grand Cherokee (MY17). 3 seconds to 100kph is not to shabby for a SUV.

If it does eventuate, in rwd configuration due to awd durability issues, aint no way in hell the big motor will fling it to 100 under 4. It weighs 2300kg afterall.

Give Rob Herrod a call. He has a supercharger kit to suit the JGC SRT, that will lift the front tyres off!

Hi Tex,
There's a couple of aftermarket s/c SRT Jeeps that are into the high 3's down under (plenty in the States). Most of these are running low boost due to a lack of ability to tune easily and the need to step up into forged pistons. IF a Hellcat version retains awd, it wouldn't seem much of a stretch to get it sub 4's based off the above. Stock times for the current SRT Jeep (be it in bloody cold weather) hover around mid/low 4's now.

I love chryslers but not up to speed on them is there a 300 with a hellcat motor? I'd love one I love a bit of luxury and muscle.
And would you buy a v8 wrangler for off road if they ever offered one I love fourby's and I have an unhealthy obsession with jeep's tj's and xj's especially. If could I'd build a nice v8 tj for the mud oh yeah. A Belorussian red neck can dream can't he. |

i love getting 1200km out of my diesel jgc but damn that would be a tempting trade in next year.
now if they really wanted to impress me and have a guranteed customer they would do a dodge ram 1500 with that hellcat engine in it www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pXfHLUlZf4 http://2016bestauto.com/2017-ram-150...hellcat-price/ better get a stronger rope to keep my dog in the back Last edited by steve.zissou; 23-06-2015 at 12:36 PM. |

sounds fast, but i wish they would use the standing quarter mile for performance comparisons rather 0 to 60 or 0 to 100 ks.

It already has, however my understanding is as it's still in development (pre-production model), I'd imagine it won't hit the streets stock with a sub 3. A bit like when the numbers were crazy fast when the XR6T was still testing.
What it does show at the least is its potential. And I'd still be all over this even if it comes out with sub 4 seconds stock. As for economy, if it's anything like the current Jeep SRT with the 8 speed, you will need a tanker following. It's not to bad cruising but put the boot in and there's a price to be paid for pushing those kind of weights quickly.

I find this rather stimulating in all the right ways, yet i wonder how much 98 a 707hp rather large vehicle can consume...? I know the 8 speed would contribute but....
