Hang on....

What was the result?
If you could put the T6 into the SP it would be the perfect car......

Super Tornado?

Where have I seen that idea before?

No wuckers.

I was hoping to see a bit of a better smoke show before launch ... but was good to see the in-gear differences before both utes.

If I had the cash spare .... It'd be the Tornado for me ... although I do love the V8 rumble.

Go on and do it, you won't be sorry. I was looking at buying a BF XR8 and when I was at the dealer a BA MKII Shockwave Typhoon caught my eye :sm_headba . Got a price for the 8 : then the Used car dealer saw me looking at the F6 and suggested a test drive. Saved myself nearly $20K (before onroad costs for the 8) and have a huge grin on my face still. :

And say bye bye to warranty ?

Better if Ford did it from factory, i'm sure they will sooner or later, or the 6 pot cars will be the new flagships.

I agree.
V8s have always been the top of the range for holden or ford and put it quite simple, its old news.
Proof in sales, the XR6T is outselling the XR8 by a huge margain.
I reckon the XR5 Focus will be the next hot topic to come out of Ford.

If Ford could build a 4 Litre V8 that revs to 8000rpm and put out 300Kw+ (similar to a Ferrari) than that would attract the market back in my opinion.
Because cubes are out the door for technology and forced induction.

Bah, that wasn't much of a test. First off neither of those two are pro drag racers and secondly, it wasn't very controlled. Oh and they never really went into any detail about either car. Ok to watch but I wouldn't take it as a complete test.

Ah lets see. It was basicly an accelleration test where two non professionals jumped in the cars and blasted off. They then swapped cars and repeated the operation.

So this showed that an avereage driver can go quicker in the F6 than the SP.
To me this is a REAL WORLD test not a dodgy "expert" test. Driving skill had nothing to do with it. I am sure the fordophiles would like a super high depth dissection of the cars so they can debate the minutae but to most it was very relevent.
What it has done is created interest in that show and maybe that was part of the idea.

if you want to save it to your hard drive download asfrecorder and then use it to open http://win-media.f2.com.au/media/2005/12/02/17571_4.wmv and save the 21mb streaming video to your local hard drive.
