There we go, you can just see the rotating dial tucked behind the steering wheel. I circled it. The lights were obviously on when I took the photo. (Sorry about the flash)

EDIT: I found the log. I might post some bit's of it up in the bar for people's random amusement. I don't know why but i find drunks funny LOL.

This shiznit is t3h funnay! Oh, to open the fuel cap, ignore the fuel button below your headlight switch. The trick is to use a screwdriver to pop the flap open. Common E-series fault. : -Dave- |

not really,,whats one of the first things you do when you buy a new car,,look where everything is and see how it works,,even when you've had a car for only one week there is no excuse for not knowing where the controls are and how they work.

When I wirst got the EA, I wasn't used to having a button on the dash to open the fuel door, as the EB GLi doesn't have one. I went to open it from outside the car and it didn't want to open! Somehow my fuel door bent slightly so it doesn't sit flush with the body anymore.

My fuel door spring is broke so the button doesn't open it :(
it's weird how there's an indent for a single finger when it takes a superhuman tug to open it, i guess they coulda made it easier, but then what would be the point of the button... and removing the finger indent would look nicer, but then if your switch breaks how do you open the fuel cap? Overall - why the hell have the switch? you need to unscrew the fuel cap anyway, what does it save you, 0.5 seconds? Can't figure out what they were thinking with that one... Oh, and the XD Fuel cap location is great - but not so great when someone runs into the back of you, pushes the filler neck into your full tank of fuel and sprays fuel all over their engine bay... Best hope his car hasn't been running long, eh? Of course, if you can't find the headlight switch, there's a pretty darn big chance you can't afford a full tank of fuel, so you might be safe ;) |
