Default A Better Alternative to "Genuine" Carpet Mats

I mentioned a while back that both my father and I bought custom made carpet mats for our cars. Mine is a VT Berlina, and his is a WK Caprice - i know a few people on here were interested in them. They use the same carpet as the manufacturers for the floors, and seem better made than the genuine mats from the dealer. They are moulded exactly to fit, and are trimmed nicely. You can get logos embroided etc, we got plain ones to look like the mats werent even there. In the rear, we both have one piece mats that go over the transmission tunnel (these mats dont slip around)
Anyway, we both paid $20 per mat for the front and $40 for the rear. THe name of the supplier is GAC Industries, the guys name is Geoff
BH: 03-9792-2333 and mobile 0428-792-793
He is based in Dandenong, but we first spotted him at the Berwick market. Will save you lots of $ from buying dealer supplied ones, and i am more than satisfied with ours, and so don't mind giving this guy a plug.

Cheers

The factory mats for BA XR are <$110 for set of 4, if you don't want "XR" logo and are happy for just a "Ford" blue oval embroidered emblem these are only $75 set.

probably the worst option i bought with the GT was the $200 mats. the drivers side one is just the correct length for catching on the clutch and accelerator pedals. they've got nice FPV logo's though : so your prices seem very reasonable.

Totally agree, we bought a set when we first got the XR, perfect fit and no sliding around, even the one piece rear.
