Hi All
We have an Laser glxi 1.8 auto hatch that we bought new in may 2000 which i think is makes it a KN model. Its been a great car but it is getting tired. Obviously i could flog it and buy something new, but i am considering doing a full restoration with a motor and trans rebuild, replacing all the suspension, etc, fit up mod cons like camera, bluetooth etc. generally give it a full renovation and then keep using it as my daily driver. I intend getting the original motor rebuilt so the numbers still all match. Why raise the topic? I'd like some feedback sources for the project and if anyone has done anything similar. I am thinking it should work out cheaper than buying new but i am renowned for underestimating! All feedback appreciated.
