Default Marvel Comics

It seems times are good for Marvel Comic fans.
With the releases or Spiderman, The Punisher , Blade, The Hulk and more recently Batman Begins with Christian Bale (excellent Movie btw) and the recently released Electra ( which was ok i guess).
I find myself wondering what is next as i anxiously await for more Fictional/Fantasy movies...
Bring it on I say Jsmilie:

I collect Xmen comics and trading cards :o)

I'd love to see another X-Men movie with some of the more menacing characters

Agree totally, isn't there a third one? I just can't think of it right now or am confused with something else?

It started off with Belgarath the sorcerer, then it went into the belgariad, then into the Malorean, then there was a side story based on one of the characters called Polgara the scorceress. all up ther was about 12 books

i think you mightve been thinking about their other series they did call the tamuli and the elemium (read them too, another great series) and they got about 6 books in that series

Brilliant books! but yeah what a read!

You can also get the Rivan Codex on top of the other 12! All a good read

Have you read The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb? It then goes on to the live ship trader trilogy and theres a new trilogy with the fool in it, i think its called the tawny man trilogy. I have only read the farseer trilogy part of it, but it was awesome as well.

Id like to see Rogue Trooper made into a movie. 2000AD always had superior comics to DC and marvel IMO.

Now thats gonna start a flame war lol!

Did they ever do a Movie version of The Flash?

They did a movie on Captain America in the 80's from memory and I don't think it was very popular.

/me always was a Batman fan.....

The batman movies were so-so except for the one with George Clooney and Arnie as the baddie which just plain sucked. So i'm hoping the new one is pretty good which is sounds like it will be.

Did anyone enjoy The Punisher? I thought it was one of the better action movies of late

Actually I did, i didnt expect to, as I hated the Dolph Lundgren version that came out in the 90's and was an avid reader of the Punisher War Journal, i might even throw some money down to buy the DVD.

Yes, I'm also quite enjoing all the Marlvel comic-movies coming out. The only one I haven't liked so far was Elektra.

I'd still love to see these movies in the near future:

Deadpool
Ultimate X-Men
Black Panther
Iron Man
and Cable

... but how cool is this, Fantastic Four is due out later this year in the US!

Maybe because it has a character from Mortal Kombat? (guy that plays Shang Sung) I didn't like it because it left a few questions unanswered, and it went from being realistic to non-realistic too often. Either make it realistic, or not. Don't mix the two, it ruins it. Also, I'm not a fan of what's her name(the main chick). She doesn't do anything for me.

I have the Spawn comics from No 1 - 100 and quite a few of the spinoffs in between. A few are signed. I stopped collecting them years ago and I'll prob hang onto them and sell them off down the track. I have a couple of X-men limited comics too but not many.

The Punisher was cheesey but the action was half decent towards the last half of the movies. I never read the War Journal series but I have been told it would have made a very good movie. It seems to rate up there in the Punisher series from what I hear.

Another Flash movie is being made. Ghost Rider is coming up soon. So is Fantastic Four with Jessica Alba...oh yeah.

Check out http://superherohype.com/ & http://www.comics2film.com/

Off topic a movie for the PC Game Doom is being made with The Rock.

....Spiderman seems to be the best movie franchise at the moment imo. X-Men isn't too far behind. Daredevil suprised me. I didn't think a movie about a "blind" superhero would work.

Bottom of the rung would be Catwoman.

Is Elektra meant to be as bad as I've heard ? People have been comparing it to Mortal Kombat ?

All great books. Fan of Robert Jordan, Ian Irvine, Jacqueline Carey and whoever wrote The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.

I don't particularly like the comics but if the movies are done well they are a lot of fun.

Yeah with Tom Cruise...I think there's a small clip on the net for it.

Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy is being redone too.

I think I read somewhere that Justin Timberlake will be playing Iron Man unfortunately.

Is Sin City a comic? It looks pretty good from what i've seen with Jessica Alba & Bruce Willis in it.

That is the biggest insult to a comic character such as Iron Man. If this is true, I will not watch it.

I got a bunch of comics in the shed, including old Xmen, Wolverines (I have #1 to 100, the earlier stuff in 'Marvel Presents'...), Spawn (didn't make it to 100 there...), some stuff that got rather pricey in the early 90's but I have no idea what is more collectable these days.
