Default The most influential/important person in the world?

hey all
after all the hoop-la over the queen being here and such i was curious who would be the most influential person in the world.
(this isnt a republician/monarchy bashing thread either)

would it be Barrack Obama?
maybe kim-jong-il perhaps?
or someone else, doesnt have to be a head of state
just curious as to what people think?

For Australians it seems sports people are the heroes here, which I strongly detest but we're talking world wide here.

So I'd say the Pope or any other religious figurehead and I'll leave it at that before the mods re-enact June 6 1944 on our asses.

Rupert murdoch.

He Tells us what we watch on telly and thus believe and get passionate about. Dictates the bias on any political coverage. And has a smokin hot asian missus

The most influential person in the world should be your father or mother

I would say a ground breaking engineer or scientist, like Brunel, Darwin or Einstein. Celebs and sports people would be at the bottom of my list.

No offence, but if you've been to the USA in the last 12 months you'll know that Barack Obama would be near the bottom of that list. He's about as popular as our PM here.

I only suggested he was the most important because he holds the keys to the most powerful (?) defence force in the world. America have almost become the world police, as sickening as that is.

Ronald McDonald,
Meets all the criteria:
The most recognised man on the planet
There is a shrine to him on every 2nd corner
The numbers of worshippers is staggering, even disabled people who can not get out of their cars!
He ended the cold war and his followers destroyed the Berlin wall to get to his shrines
When ever you see big red shoes you automatically think of him
He has been around for heaps longer than the internet
Has caused as much debate as any man alive
The list of reasons is endless.................

He may, or he may have a beard and a long white robe... He can't talk right now, he's walking on water off Urangan pier. Or organising a tactical nuke on my office for this insolence.
