Hey guys i got a eb 5 litre sitting around that i need to get rid of and i was thinking can that running gear fit into a td cortina. Has it been done.

No reason why not. The windsor motors have been fitted to Cortina's just about since they were new. The only problem you may have is that the emission controls. As the motor is built later than the car, it must comply with the later build, in your case the engine. That's in NSW, not sure of other states. It's a pretty common project for a lot of guys on here.

Should just require a carbon canister , the coolant lines run through the TB egr plate , catalytic convertor/s in the exhaust and fuel filler neck changed to suit unleaded only ?
That's all that comes to mind .
