Default Can you recommend a car transporter ?

I need to get a car transported from Brisbane to Perth but the more I ask around, the more horror stories I hear. Can anyone recommend a car carrier that will take some extra care ? Maybe a privateer ?

Thanks for the tip, my main concern is that in the journey from Brisbane to Perth there are many sub-contractors involved that may not be as genuine as the people you enter into a contract with and there seems to be very little accountability down the line, but i will give "movingcars" a call.

I've just been through the same thing to get a car from Adelaide to Perth, and I have also heard a lot of horror stories.
In the end, I am going to use Ceva. Check their website, and you can get an online quote, which includes $60,000 insurance.

Sold a car to a guy in Gold Coast a couple of months ago, and he used Ceva. They said max. 5 days and it took 10 days! It did get there OK though I believe.

From previous experience, stay away from AutoTrans. Unless they have changed and anyone here can actually give them a good wrap... (*waiting*)

Russells enclosed car transport highly recommended, hes a specialised carrier though and it sounds like you are after a conventional carrier. Can not recommend VIP under any circumstances!

These guy's. www.uniquecarcarriers.com.au
They transported a mates (TICK4D-TAS) TS50 from Perth to Melbourne, without a mark scratch or problem.

They are a bit more expensive than others, but considering some of the cars they have transported it's probably worth it.

Just about decided now, I have spent several days trawling through all the fine print on various contracts and terms, I have to talk with my insurance people tomorrow and as long as they agree i am covered i will go for a mob called TC logistics (based in Adelaide I think) recomended by a fella i know in the truckin biz, they tell me they can bring the LTD over on the hyundai car transport ship as long as they have it by end of the week. Like I say a have a couple of calls to make to check on details so as long as it all checks out i will go with that BUT failing that i think CEVA will get the gig. I forget exactly why i crossed "movingcars" off the list, nothing major, just something in their terms i did not like the sound of. Thanks to all for the input. Keep it coming , I still have a day or two before I jump.
