Default Camera phone warning

Just wanted to let you all know, that when you take photo's with your phone that they are storded on the phone, not the sim card. Just upgraded my wife's phone , Nokia, (yep a company phone ) swapped the sim card out and all was good, sent the old phone to HQ as requested.

Then get a call re the pic's on the phone, Oh my god, they were pics that my wife took of her breasts to send to me while we were apart for a short time due to work reasons. Man am I in deep trouble with the misses, you don't realy wan't to know.

Anyway, just wanted to share this warning, it may save someone else the trouble that I am in.

PS. Dont realy want to start the phone sex thing on this thread

Yeah, I had quite a good little photo collection on my old phone. A couple of car shows, some awesome shots of my mates leg just after his operation and a bit of this and that. Next thing, the phone bounces off my garage wall and I have no way of getting those photos back, sim card or no sim card. Damn shame, that. Damn shame.

I had a picture of my dog at christmas time with a santa hat on. Since then my dog has passed away. I Loved the photo then one day my phone died and everything was cleared. Sim card was fine but lost my favourite pic..

Pretty angry but thats just the way some things go isnt it :

Mate, work it out! The pics were intended for hubbies eyes only. Not many wives I know would like pix of their assets available (even unintentionally) to the public, basically!!!!

Yeah - but it was her phone, her self photography, her phone being upgraded, her problem.
Different story if it was his phone being upgraded.

Women never blame themselves. Its HIS fault he handed the phone over without being sure the data was erased. HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.
Now her assetts have been seen by whoever and no doubt would be the subject of weeks of party jokes by the phone co. people who discovered them still on the phone. And of course they know who it is........

It's mates you gotta watch out for, my bloody mates always go looking at the pictures in my phone, god that ****es me off.

But I'm lucky cos my phone saves everything to a 64mb memory card, which is good! Cos if I ever get rid of the phone, I can just take the memory card!

This thread just goes to show - Always backup! Then backup the backup.

The only thing the sim card holds is your phone number and network it has to connect to, around 30 sms text messages, and about 200 phone book entries. Although most new phones don't use the sim phonebook or sim inbox.

If you need to backup the files on you phone to your computer buy a Data cable, or if your phone has bluetooth, get a Bluetooth USB dongle. Heaps of new laptops has Bluetooth inbuilt.

I think what happened is the phone has inbuilt memory separate from the sim card and then you can upgrade that with a separate memory card. Should've deleted every personal pic on the phone or forwarded it to another phone first then deleted it.
