Default Replacing The CD Player

Hey guys, me is be needing some help!

Iv'e bought a new head unit for my car but, after a quick test fit then realising that the standard unit is 1 1/2 DIN and not double DIN, the new unit looks funny with this lil gap under neath it.
i know you can get pocket to fit but its gotta come from america and that takes to long so i was wondering if anyone else has changed there headunit over or know if we can get those pockets here from somewhere?

any help ?

cheers James

IIRC, didnt someone on the old forums (was Australian tho) get the pocket through a store here somewhere? Youd think theyd have to be able to get them somehow.

You can get it from Autobahn this is a pic and part number of what you want. They'll have to order it. It took them 3 days to get it in when I ordered one. Aerpro Australia import the kit from Metra in the states.
Model: FP995200

Cheers

Hey i order one of those things from Doran Pro Audio... $85.... Told them to stick it.

If you have a motorised head it will not work properly with this item aswell.

I went down to the local Bunnings bought a small piece of black plastic. Cut it to the correct size and glue the bastard in. i think it looks better that the pocket one and it only cost me about $7 in total to do. I think i even have a spare piece of the matarial i used big enough to make another gap filler.

James, I'm looking at your HU on Pioneer's site, you def. wont have any problems with the kit.

Nice hu, post some pics when you're done.
