Probably been asked a thousand times before, want to know if anyone has an E Series with a carb manifold on their 5.0? Curious to the room between the manifold to*bonnet, any fitting/clearance*issues? Running roller cam block, engine out at the moment for rebuild, any pics or info much appreciated, I know the whole EFI/Carb debate is a topic in its self, I’m going with FiTech Injection on this one, had awesome results in the past just never used*in*a ED before, Cheers in advance

Basically because I want to try something different, I have used this system on previous engines with great results, just looking for images of others who have done it, looks like I will have the job completed before I get any, these forums don’t seem to move too quickly, of the ones I am in anyway. Well it’s all up and running with rebuilt engine and FiTech installed, can honestly say it’s awesome to drive, haters will hate I’m sure but I personally like it, can tune in my driveway or on the fly without a Dyno or a laptop in sight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks great Powers351. Any pics under the air cleaner, do you have an old school carb under that? I put up a thread in the pub similar, going back to old tech that is able to be tuned by hand.
Nice work at any rate.

Cheers, it’s actually FiTech EFI (throttle body EFI) looks like a carb but has 4x injectors, self tuning/learning with very minimal initial input settings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi MrEL, depends where you buy and which size unit you get, 400, 600, 800 or 1200hp units, mine is a 600hp unit and I paid $1400 for it, fits any square bore intake manifold, good instructions, easy set up and comes with all bits needed, sensors and stuff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's actually really fair pricing.
Where did you get it from? |
