Geez I hope the new Mondeo comes soon, this thing is a pretty good looking car.
http://www.carsales.com.au/news/2012...revealed-31472 Reportedly the TDi is averaging 4.2l/100..thats awesome. Seems Mazda cant do much wrong at the moment, will be interesting to see if they do another MPS with it.

The problem for the Falcon/Territory for me is when it comes to the missus I just need something that has enough space and is decent on fuel. That and I am not spending $30k+ just yet anyway (not financing). RWD/AWD/FWD doesnt really come into it, if the car was for just me then thats different Im Falcon all the way. This is what is winning with us at the moment, Im not buying new new yet but close to. If the Mondeo come in wagon, tdi and manual form then we would get that; but it doesnt. http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/de...5&sort=default In saying that when the kids get a bit older no doubt we will need a Territory/Ranger type car.

Word doing the rounds, husshuss talks with Fiat/Chrysler Group..... But yeah, Mazda6 looks a stunning bit of kit, job # 1 is to spank the koreans, put them back in there box. The key to this new M6[sic] is the price, wants to kick off at $29k [less than now] Warranty needs to be longer, as does the service interval, and capped/fixed too |

That profile shot AFAIK is actually the concept...but the shape is close enough by the looks of the video. Id say the production version would have a more "normal" combination.

I doubt that the rotors will be that big surely? Not even a rehashed MPS would need them.

Is this staying on the same/updated platform as before, or moving onto Fords global medium platform?

The value of the Yen, and the fact that Mazda base most of there production in japan. And i guess they would be spending a fair bit on new products aswell.

Besides, let's compare Mazdas profit in Aus last yr (where the 3 was the highest selling car) to, um, I don't know, Fords $290 million loss. Think Mazda Aus HQ is a little happier than Ford HQ atm... |

It was spurred on when Fiat and Mazda decided to build a sports car together (Alfa and MX5). Fiat has since quashed any rumor of them buying a stake in Mazda. Regarding their loss. Quote:
As for the Mazda 6, I like it, I have liked all the models of the Mazda 6 this one though is far more mature and elegant. The Mondeo is a different beast, I'm very keen to see it in wagon format

Look at that side profile vs the Falcon (or Mondeo). Which would you buy? Seriously considering this 6 as my next car...

The 2013 Ford Mondeo looks great, if not greater than this. But this still looks nice.

After extensive test driving, I found it to be the best sporty medium car, with features, reliability, price, insurance. Aluminium turbo can handle 19psi relatively comfortably. Will end up being my daily drive and Taga car. (Mrs said no to the RX8, not practicle enough ). Back on topic, car looks good, I doubt it would be 100% as the concept. Gone a different approach to the Mondeo more feline less angles. Doesn't look better just different IMO.

both the 6 and the Mondeo look brilliant. styling has come a long way since the boxes of the 80's and 90's.
