Default Fiesta ST brake dust nightmare

WOW I have never seen so much brake dust before on any of my cars.

Maybe it is cos it is red and my previous cars have been grey/dark blue

But man it stands out so much - it's even on the side skirts and rear bumper.

Yeah you could run a Hawk ceramic pad or we have other cheaper options that would help.

Is there Endless MX72 for the Fiesta ST? Any idea where I can get it fitted in Brisbane?

Welcome to European Ford ownership. My ST does it, my old xr5 did it. If you don't mind a drive search OEM denied on the sunny coast he is the euro Ford expert and sells a wide range of performance parts for euro cars. Tell him Dallas sent you.

Or buy black wheels like I did lol.

I have the grey rims so the rims aren't the problem. It's how it is getting to the side skirts and the rear bumpers

Has anyone had trouble getting all the brake dust off their ST wheels?

I find that the surface of the rim isn't as smooth as other wheels I've had and brake dust gets trapped (inside corners of the spokes).

Any tips to get it off? I was thinking Bowden's Own 'Wheely Clean' and a soft brush?

Wheely clean didn't work for me on stock wheels or my aftermarket ones.

Wheely clean is great on my ML350. You have to use it with a pressure cleaner tho, it doesnt work with a hose.

Are the wheels smooth on your ML?

I find the surface of the Fiesta ST wheels is a little rough hence the dust getting caught in the nooks. The inside of the wheels (funnily enough) is actually pretty smooth and easy to clean.

Haven't had this problem since having EL XR wheels (again with a rough surface)

Once I get the dust off I'll have to wax the wheels to try and stop this from happening/getting worse.

Used it with a pressure cleaner still no joy, worked 'ok' on the stock wheels. Still needed some elbow grease, but on my aftermarket wheels it just didnt work.

I use Iron X to get dust off Focus wheels. Works really well. Wheels have to come off the car as you can't risk it getting on other surfaces.
