yes great idea for performance, not so for rev and speed limiter, if u ask data_mine he will tell you why you shouldnt remove the speed limiter and rev limiter unless u have a strong enough motor and a GOOD tailshaft to handle it.

Be really careful when removing the limiter, even in sedans they have been know to let go at around 195 and create absolute hell.
There is a thread on FM, showing a tailshaft that let go on the dyno, creating total chaos. Otherwise though $1200, sounds dear; a uni chip would do it for cheaper, but it might be worth waiting; tuning inprovements for EF/EL EEC-V are not that far away.

mate, one wire cut and you lose your speed limiter. the chip bull**** is just that, BULL****! not your rev limiter though. i have a chiptorque and my rev limiter got raised but i left my speed limiter. it is there for a reason, and i dont want my tailshaft hitting me in the face!

chiptorques only adjust your rev limiter, not your speed limiter mate. i have one and cam, intake, exhaust, idle and rev limiter is all they can do. if you want to get rid of your speed limiter, you need to cut one wire and one wire only. its that easy.
what makes you think your speed limiter is gone?

isnt 180km fast enough for you???
the limiter is there for a GOOD reason, just ask anyone who saw the photos of that EF that snapped the tailshaft on the dyno

no they shouldnt bypass it at all. it would have no affect. only the police pack had no limiter. and maybe xr's from memory

LPG falcons do not have limiters at all in my experience. Maybe the newer "e-gas" falcons do, but pre-AU they don't. This leads me to believe the limiter is a fuel cut, as opposed to spark, hence not working on LPG? I dunno, but they generally don't have them.
