As the above question states, just wondering how many E-Series owners are also uni students? and which e-series do you own?
Personally I've owned my EF for almost 5 years, bought it just before going back to study, and mods have been basically 0 since returning to uni :( . At the moment I am entering my final year of Electrical/Electronic Engineering at Flinders University (Adelaide SA). who else?

I’m in my final year of uni, Civil+Water Engineering (Honours), also have started B.Sc (geology) and B.Management all at UNISA
Then 1990 EA/EL Hybrid. Owned it before I finished yr12 Now 1997 EL Fairmont owned it for 11months Its not easy to study full time, and earn enough to both live, attend uni, have a life, run a car and mod it. I can still find time to research, purchase and install mods (possibly at the expence of uni effort lol).

I immagine there's lots of us Uni students around.
I'm doing Engineering(Telecomms and Internet Tech) at Swinburne, but I've taken a year off to work at Bosch and earn some $$. I go back to Uni in July though. Hopefully I'll manage to save enough money to do a few mods to the EA during the Holidays. I've had the car for nearly 4 years now, mods have only just started to be possible (you all know how poor Uni students are) |

Wasted two precious years of my life at TAFE, then did my first year at Uni last year (Bach. of IT: Multimedia). Another two (and a half) years to go.
I've owned my ED for about two and a half years and mods are damn hard to come by. I am always broke because of my car...

Well, as part of my course I did 6 months paid work experience with TXU Torrens Island (power station) from July to December last year, and now have a regular 12 hours a week with the High Voltage Transmission company here in SA (Electranet) Until July this year during my studies. So i might have some $$ to fix things on my car like the damn hole in the bumper (bloody car parks) and the stuffed rear shocks.

w00t, I REPRESENT : for Monash Uni Gippsland, the campus that gets ****-raped by Clayton
I'm in my 4th year at uni now, but starting my "3rd year" of Civil/Environmental Engineering. Did a course change from Civil/Electrical (this course is getting "euthanased" by Clayton) last year and lost a year out of it. I was broke last year at uni, due to 3 reasons: 1) I moved out of home 2) I was living with my (then) girlfriend. She smoked more dope $-wise than what I put into the petrol tank! 3) I own an E-Series :alien2: Now living back with the folks, and working 70 hours a week over the summer break, I've now paid back what I owed them (they paid for my previous semester at uni), I've also paid for this upcoming semester, and had enough $ leftover to start modding the EB. My new exhaust gets fitted next Monday! : -Dave- |

Bought my EB Fairmont a few months back, haven't had any time or money to do much to it yet. But got some things planned! |

Speaking of which did anyone go to the Monash shindig at Crown monday night? Wasn't too bad checking out Monash's new talent....

Swinburne Uni doing Adv. Diploma of Mulitmedia.
Driving the only Gunmetal EF GLi there :P. My stupid work hardly gives me any shifts, so saving up for car mods becomes zilch. Anyone got a job for me?!?!

Just out of interest, those that have been studying and have late model cars or cars with lots of mods, how did you all afford them?
Personally I did a 4 year apprenticeship prior to going to uni to get A Class electricians licence, during which time I bought my car. While at uni though, I have been working 16 hours a week at a servo, and I have been around the world, married and moved out of home. I suppose that is where my money has gone, wife/gf are very expensive upkeep ;) . Have most other people just spent $$ on thier cars that they have earnt or have rich mummy and daddy?? :P

Well 3 reasons why i can afford a "late model" car and mod it
(1) Working 38hrs a week + full time uni (2) Still live at home (3) Single (from experence this saves MEGGA $$$$$$$$$$$)
