just wondering if anyone know how to convert foot pounds of torque into
newton meters 293.9 ft-lbs torque

Best I found was this...not sure if's its the right conversion though
It came up with 398.47Nm for 293.9 ft-lbs torque http://conversion.maribi.com/ I went to online conversion then energy and typed in your ft-lbs figure Last edited by rodderz; 29-04-2005 at 11:09 PM. |

Jeez, Rodderz, I went downstairs to see what the imperial-metric gauge said on my torque wrench... took the pup out for a wizz, couldn't find the torque wrench...
Did I waste my time taking the pup for a wizz? Naah, cleaner carpets! |

it's as simple as this, OK:
kW x 1.35 = hp hp / 1.35 = kW AND IT'S THE SAME FOR TORQUE: ft-lb x 1.35 = Nm Nm / 1.35 = ft-lb. Hope that helps.
