put some oil in it.
noisy lifters are common. but if the ticking is loud, then you are probably severly low on oil. but if oil is good, tighten your header bolts.

Does it make the noise under braking? Does it make the noise when turning? Is the noise high or low or medium pitch? The more info you give us, the more we'll be able to help point you in the right direction. Cheers, GK BTW, just in case your oil is very, very low, check it first thing tomorrow!

is the noise seem to be coming from the right hand side??, my car was doing the same thing a couple of weeks ago so i changed my header gasket and it fixed it.
At idle that will be your lifters! check your oil? how old is the oil more importantly? |

if your lifters are ticking make sure the oil you're using is not heavier than specified . i was using a slightly heavier oil and had ticking lifters i went back to the correct spec oil and fixed the problem
