I’m very keen to find someone within reasonable driving distance of Sydney, to get a Mercedes W126 sedan panel cut from. Gumtree has only offered me the fellow in Bankstown who’s also on Fleabay.
What I need is a pillar section and the door check reinforcement/mount that’s spot welded to it. This first photo shows my faulty one, it’s been repaired twice - there’s evidence of welding and filling plus some pop rivet horrors. All are failed and the pillar has creeping stress cracks. I’m fairly sure that a rear door (B pillar) panel cut as shown below will give up the needed part. It’s also easier to remove. My preference is to have the part before this weekend. I don’t do FB, but know some people almost live on it. Hoping one of them might feel inclined to scout around for me, in exchange for gratitude. |

Ta - it’s a members only section of the forum, but I can cross that bridge if required.
Shame Dapto Pick-a-Part doesn’t have a stock list. |
