Default Question for the Pilots

Is this exceptionally low/slow for an aborted, then successful landing in a large passenger jet?

That was practically wheels on ground!

Having myself being a witness to an aborted landing/(very) near miss at Melbourne airport, brown undies moment indeed.

Near on 500ft at lowest point. That's not overly low. 500ft in the Jabiru was turning point from base to finals leg. I'm guessing the aircraft was an A320, and I see the lowest speed was 138k, so that would be well above stall speed, I'd guess.

Would be interesting to see what the winds were like at the time to see if it was wind shear that caused the go around, or whether there was some other factor, such as traffic, runway incursion by another vehicle, etc.

Just as an aside, we have PC-21s doing circuits at 500ft over town all the time. I know it's not a passenger jet, but gives you an idea as to how high 500ft is.
