1. Cairns. Great Barrier Reef - Awesome.
2. Katherine Gorge - Amazing
3. Sydney/Melb - fun to look around and be a "tourist" great buildings.
3. Coffs Harbour - Beautiful, great to drive.
4. Bundaberg - Sleepy little town with lovely beaches!
5. Port Campbell National Park - amous for the Twelve Apostles and historic shipwrecks
6. (from left field) Warrnambool - Little country town with great little French restaurant.

I'm keen to see:
1) The Snowy Mountains (going in July)
2) Adelaide and surrounding areas
3) Tasmania.
4) Perth.

Me and different girlfreinds have done this a few times over the years ! Things tend to go a little weird when I say ,"Realy , There are race cars up here ? What a shame . I came up here to have some quality time with you baby ! Oh well might as well watch them now they are here ! Can you get me another Bundy Goodgirl !"

Labrador on the Gold Coast is nice if you don't mind doing the full on tourist thing. We stayed at Maroochydore last year on the way back from Fraser Island and it was beautiful there too. Fraser Island is absolutely gorgeous on the Eastern side, but you have to like camping and 4WDing. There is a resort on the Western side, but seems the mozzies like that side too.

Depends... what do you want to do, how far do you want to travel & how long. Options are virtually endless.

I just got back from Adelaide. That was a great trip. 6 days was good, but any longer and it would have been too much. Glenelg is where we stayed

We went to the Snowy Mountains the past two winters - very pretty when covered in snow. Two years ago, we were thigh deep in snow - last year there was almost none other than man made stuff. We missed the big dump by only a week.

I haven't been there, but Dave says Tasmania is a beautiful place - not my kind of weather I'm afraid.

Me, I'm looking forward to seeing Broome and the Kimberleys.

Hmm, why does everyone assume Tasmania has weather like the antartic?
Ok so far we havent had a great start to summer
but our typical summer is very nice
Day after day of around 26 / 27, nights 14 or 15(can sleep) have very long days (at the moment its not dark till 9.30 pm) . Best months are late Feb thru to early April, very setled weather. Our Rainy season is winter, usually get very little over summer.
Just dont make assumptions till you been here, most people are pleasantly surprised (25 forcast today, 26 tomorrow, 27 sunday, clear blue skies, little wind)

A sleepy little town called Coffin Bay, Just past Pt Lincoln in SA. It's about 7 hrs driving from Adelaide, simply beautiful.
Also:
Fraser Is.
Broome.

Anywhere away from normal day to day living. I even went to Melb last Easter and had a good time. It just comes down to what you need!

Well we did the Albany, Pemberton , Marg river back in 01, also went up as far as Carnarvon, stayed at a dump resort at shark bay area, and agree they are all top spots, so many '' places around but so little time to see everything. Last year when back there on our honeymoon we stayed at Sorrentos beach resort (top spot!) Pretty much central to everything we needed, shops, resturants, pubs not to mention the eye candy
But this time we are taking our 2 19yr old nieces and one of the wifes g.f's so i've already got a f/f 4 bdrm house with a pool booked and payed for this years xmass & new years period.

For the house i'm looking at this coming xmass it will cost $1580 for the full 2 weeks..and divied up between the 5 of us staying it works out to be around $22.60 per person per day, $316.40 each for 2 weeks accomodation!!
The house is a less expensive option than Sorrentos Resort which was around $180 per night for a 2 bdrm apartment, www.sorrentobeach.com.au
all the staff are fantastic, friendly and helpfull.!!. And will do a cheaper rate if staying for longer than a week.

Hope this helps some.

That sounds fantastic! Can you please give me some details?

I forgot to mention the Great Ocean Road has a lot of nice places. Also Margaret River over in WA is beautiful too. I'm not a big wine drinker, but going to all the wineries you just can't say no!
