Anyone had a problem with oil in the water of a 1.8 litre fuel injected SOHC 1990 laser motor.
I am thinking it is probably the head. Any help appreciated Regards Peter |

Thanks for the reply guys.
Will it be a head gasket or a crack in the head. It is only a slight amount of oil coating the water bottle so I was wondering about any of the products you can add to the oil to stop the leak. Has anybody had any experience with them. As the motor has done a few hundred thousand K's is it worthwhile doing the head and gasket or just getting a secondhand motor |

Check the compression on each cyl, but by the sound's of it, it could be either the gasket or head, but I'd get it looked at and either way you'll need to rebuild the head.

Either way it'd probably be cheaper getting a new replacement from pickapart and just replacing it.
