Hi guys,
The girlfriends focus isn't starting. I can hear the pump prime and when the key is turned to the on position I can hear the relays clicking open in the engine bay but when you turn the key to the start position, nothing happens. Radio turns off like usual but the starter won't crank. Any ideas?

What is the battery voltage? What does it drop to when trying to start?
Does it start if jumpered to another car? Does it start if you tap on the starter whilst cranking? Hard to get to - under the intake manifold |

Car won't jump start, battery voltages are fine.

from what you say you either have a bad starter solenoid or a loose battery/starter terminal Battery needs to show at least 12.5-13 volts to be OK make sure the jumper leads are heavy as cheap ones will not carry enough current.
Check for loose connections as the solenoids rarely fail |

Agreed, check battery terminals, starter motor/solenoid connections.
Verify 12+V at the starter solenoid - will be the thicker cable. |

Auto. Had a bit of time over the weekend had a look at the starter relay, it wasn't stuck. Opened the fuse box and checked a few relays. Turns out the starter relay was broken. $9 later and we have a repaired focus.
