Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week Looking and sounding absolutely menacing, this HK Monaro looked like something out Mad Max and went like the clappers, running a best pass of 12.81 @ 113.52 MPH. Top Japanese of the Week A boosted Datsun 1600 is always a quick Datsun 1600, and this red example definitely made this known to spectators and competitors alike with a best time of 12.55 @ 110.81 MPH. Top Rotary of the Week This murdered-out FD RX7 meant absolute business and looked like something else out of Bruce Wayne’s personal collection. Running an insanely fast best time of 10.24 @ 142.49 MPH, it just goes to show how dominant rotaries are on the quarter mile. Top European of the Week The C63 AMG is known as a sort of elegant brute, and this particular example proved this in spades running a best pass 12.766 @ 112.26 MPH. Top Ford of the Week With those massive rear tyres and that huge bonnet vent hinting at the serious power that this Capri was packing, it’s no surprise that it ran a crazy fast best time of 11.773 @ 126.29 MPH. Commentator’s Pick of the Week Running an LS1, this Mitsubishi Express packed some serious punch, managing a best run of 13.606 @ 101.35 MPH. Not something you see every day! Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM. Check our website for T&C’s and entry information. Next Race 4 Real is this Wednesday June 1, 2016. See you there! Each night is different, could be weather keeping people away (but not stopping racing obviously), breakages causing stops or something like the State of Origin. But times I have been, I have got 7 runs on good nights and maybe 4/5 on busier ones.

Thanks - that's not too bad. The first Sunday I went I got a run every 13 to 15 minutes, so 12 runs between 10am and 1.30pm when we decided to head back to canberra. 4 to 5 for a Wednesday is not too bad, I suppose, so might be worth the day off one week.
