Default Some of the worst engine work I've seen.

A friend linked me to this thread on another car forum.
Let the pictures do the talking.
Highlights are the clutch "modification" and flywheel "modification"

This is a repost, I remember this from a few months ago. Pretty amazing stuff though, especially how they FILED the head. I thought it HAD to be a joke by then. Until I read on and they TESTED the thing, whoever drove it had balls of steel!

I tried to take in as much as I could but did anyone explain the filing pattern on the cylinder head? Oh and that painted front end assembly looks like something that you would play on at McDonalds!

I haven't got upto the clutch bit yet, but i admit I must be missing something regarding some of the jibes: the raw head is pockmarked from det, they have filed off the remnants of the head gasket so that it doesn't clag the stone and then milled the face. The siamese ports have been knifed, the bowls cleaned up. The singh grooves are a little ****y, but heh. Where is the comedy in this?

I'm also not sure what the overtly lopey engine in the youtube clip is about either, except they have rightly fitted rams horns and obviously no dump pipe, so we can see some flames and a poor state of tune.

Perhaps as I continue to read, things will become self evident.

From the thread - Sin grooves!! According to him, that will make the mixture travel faster to the centre of the chamber, thus improving efficiency.

Indeed. That would be in my top 3.

Also recall some clown doing some insane mods to a WRX, bragging about it, cracking the block, putting it back to stock while being completely smug about it and not realising that all the local Suby dealers were also reading the thread and knocking back his attempts at a warranty claim.

Also read something about a guy in the States with a late model Mustang wanting to do an oil change and flushing the old oil out with water..... Not sure if he was for real but certainly sounded genuine ie. No bloody idea
