Default 378mm 6 Piston Brembo Upgrade

Hi all
I was looking to see how much interest there would be in a front 378mm 6 piston brembo front upgrade at all as it is something we would like to follow through on and they will be available in a few stages. It looks like 19" wheels minimum will be needed for the upgrade.
We have not finalized the pricing at the moment but will look into it further if there is a show of interest.
Options we will supply to fit AU11 AU111 BA BF and FG
1.Brackets,braided hoses and 2 piece 378mm front rotor upgrade (using your existing factory 6 pot calipers)
2.Complete front kit with 6 Pot Brembo calipers, two piece rotors etc
3.Complete Brembo kit front 378mm 6P / 330mm 4P Rear.

Id be interested in a full kit, part of the reason i have not gone to brembos is i dont think they are big enough (mostly just to fill up the inside of my 19" wheels :P)

What would the rotors and the bracket for the 6P calipers be worth Matt?

I would be very keen, but then would I have to wait and see what rims will clear this set up compared to the 355mm front rotors? And price wise too compared to the FG 6P set up yo uhave available? keen either way...STandard brakes are toooo small.

Working out the rotor situation now as the hats and brackets are going to be fine. The rotor situation has changed from when i first started looking into this and this is my only stumbling block at the moment.

The brackets will be different for both the 4 and 6 piston calipers but we didn't have the 4 pots in mind when sorting this out.It may be possible and may look into it once i can sort the rotors out as they would stay the same.

There seems to be some interest in this kit and i have had some phone calls at the shop as well . The rotors we were initially going to use are now not going to be made again so I am having some new rotors sent to me today or tomorrow to check if we can use these in the kits. Hopefully i can get a firm price in the next week or so but the process can be a bit slow and painfull sometimes.Sorry for the delay guys

It looks like we have picked the rotor we are using and the hats are being designed so we will have 5 pair of hats made over the next couple of weeks. The brackets are the next issue because again we have to order minimum lots of 5 pairs to keep costs down so we will be using the same bracket in all the BA BF and FG kits but if a customer wants a BA or BF upgrade so the caliper is in the factory position there will be an added cost unless we can again get 5 orders.
These are estimates on the costs and a solid price will be given when the kits are completed as this and the rotor has been the stumbling block.
1.Complete front kit estimate
6 piston Brembo calipers with 380mm rotors/hats,brackets,braided lines and pads about $3550 to $3750.
2.Upgrade kit less calipers and pads estimate
380mm rotors/hats and brackets to suit your own existing 6 piston brembo calipers about $2400 to $2550 - Brake pads extra in this kit only
3.A complete front and rear upgrade with the 380mm front 6 piston and rear 4 piston 330mm kit will also be available for around $5800 to $6000

Can you please show your interest thankyou or ask any questions before we proceed.

Just to clarify mate, these bracket will have the callipers sitting where? at 3o'clock (i.e. standard BA/BF positioning) or at 9:00 o'clock (FG brembo positioning)?

Or will it be that 2:00o'clock position you sometimes see when people put FG brembos on their Bseries without changing the brackets.

I would much prefer the standard 3:00 position personally.

Prices are good though mate.

For a BA/BF the 2 o'clock mark was the position we were going to be using as a alloy FG bracket (these are already made) would have been modified BUT yes we can make new brackets to position the caliper in the factory BA BF 3 o'clock spot if that is what everyone wants. As i have to order a minimum 5 pair i just need to know how many people are serious about going through with it and are you willing to leave a deposit.

For the FG the caliper will be in the original position but out a bit further for the larger rotor.

Regarding the pistons to be in the right order for BA BF.

We are using FG 6 piston calipers because these are surplus stock and in order to have the pistons in the correct order for the BA BF vehicles we use a brass adapter which fits between the caliper and crossover pipe when swapped. The reason we are not using the BA BF 6 piston calipers i because they are still way to expensive and the calipers are made as trailing or leading calipers unlike the 4 piston Brembo's they can have a simple bleeder and pipe swap.
Remember if you have 6 piston calipers on your BA BF we can supply the kit less the calipers.
Thankyou and i hope i have answered all questions and you understand them.Do not hesitate to ask any more.

No worries at all but just so other people are aware you couldn't position the calipers at the 9 o'clock mark on a BA BF because the mounting holes for the brackets are at the 3 o'clock mark and the steering rack is at the rear as well as oppossed to the front like the FG.

i should probably ask this elsewhere, but...

does the std FG master cyl work fine with these brakes and is it fine to upgrade the front only then do the rears when i have some more coin? how will the bias and dsc be affected...

also vs std brakes, will there be a loss of comfort eg, grinding squealing etc... or is it possible other than the occasional passenger through the windscreen that i wouldn't know unless i was braking hard or looking at them that they weren't the stock items...

i ask this as im in need of brakes even though ive done just 7000km mine are shagged, scored rotors, next step is heat shots and shudder, i dont race the car at a track, but ive had the standard FG turbo brakes smoking plenty of times..

The std master cylinder is fine and we prefer customers to do the rear at the same time but we have many customers who do front only and rears are done at a later date. The brake bias is effected to some point and seems to be no big issue for street driven cars but maybe other forum members could give there opinion on this.
With the Brembo brakes fitted you will find your high speed braking will improve and so will the constant hard braking when towing is done. You should have no grinding or squealing but that can depend on pad choice and how you drive.

Any updates Matt??

Is there any chance whatsoever, that these 6potters with the 380m disc will fit on the 18" BA typhoon rims? There will certainly be enough spoke clearance but I'd be worried about clearance in the barrell. Especially with some wheel balance weight thrown in.

Any chance at all?
