TRY fixing this lot.
Fourteen luxury cars, including eight Ferraris, one Lamborghini, a Nissan GT-R and a, er, Prius, all tangled together on the Chugoku Expressway in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Ten people were taken to hospital, but spare a thought for the insurers - the damage bill could tot up to more than $3 million. That makes it more expensive than this Monaco bingle involving a blonde, but probably not as funny. The crash happened on a curve and involved an oncoming car - a Mercedes Benz. Japanese daily Asahi Shimbun reports that one of the Ferraris hit a median strip. It hit the Benz and as it disintegrated the next 400m, following supercars from an enthusiasts' club piled into the wreckage. Read this and weep: Among the casualities were two Ferrari F430s, two Ferrari F355s, two Ferrari 360 Modenas and a Lamborghini Diablo. Thirteen sports cars, including eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini and two Mercedes-Benz, were involved / AP

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/838...es-out-14-cars
A Ferrari driver’s mistake on a wet road in Japan has caused a massive car crash that involved 14 cars, including seven other Ferraris, three Mercedes and a Lamborghini. The vehicles were being driven by a group of car enthusiasts from Kyushu to Hiroshima during wet weather on Sunday morning when the accident happened. The pile-up was triggered when a Ferrari driver lost control while trying to overtake on a bend on China Road in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The driver reportedly hit the median, causing the other cars to smash into each other. No people were seriously hurt in the accident but the damage to the cars was severe, with many believed to have been written off. Ten men and a woman were taken to hospital with bruises and slight injuries. Video of the aftermath shows the vehicles, some which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, with missing panels and badly dented bodies and a trail of debris littering the highway. The road was closed for six hours as crews worked to clean up the mess. The cars involved appear to be multiple Ferrari F355s, F430s, an F360 and an F512, a Mercedes Benz CL600, a Lamborghini Diablo, a Nissan Skyline and a Toyota Prius. |

Wonder what sort of tyres they had on them...? A mate who went to Japan and made a pilgrimage to the place in Tokyo with all the car accessory shops noticed high performance tyres in larger sizes, which were virtually slicks with a couple of wiggly lines in them. His interpreter asked for him were they race tyres, and the answer was "Oh no, they're for the street...a lot of guys with higher end cars buy them because of the grip once they heat up!".
Good things for a "street tyre"...plenty of grip "once they warm up"... |

tyres look pretty 'normal' on the cars you can see.
story says it was wet, but doesn't look too wet in the pics. |

I've heard people have fun overtaking supercars on the autobarn in the wet....they are all in the slow lane struggling for grip on their semi-slicks.

I'm guessing that single Ferrari driver that caused the crash isn't going to be popular with his insurance as he will be covering the rest of those cars 3+ million wasn't the cars combined worth? personally i would never buy a car that much, my sisters boyfriends dad has a Rolls Royce worth 1.2 million and it costs $34,000 for a single head light found that out when a p plater side swiped him the other day bloody ridiculous for a single head light :/ think ill stick to cars under 100,000 thank you haha
