Hey all, copped a crack in my windscreen the other week so phoned Shannons to get my free replacement as have windscreen cover.
You get put straight through to Windscreens O'Brien and after a quick chat a date was set for the replacement. As it's got ADAS it needed to be done at an O'Brien shop so it can be calibrated. They also fit a genuine Ford screen as it's heated and not available aftermarket. Done today, faultless service. Out of interest I asked the cost to Shannons, $720 for the screen and $350 for the calibration. A hint to those without windscreen cover, get it! |

Ah right, the only ADAS I'd heard of is the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme.

Good job.
Just had the same experience. NRMA and Windscreens O’Briens. Faultless!

I'm waiting for a star fracture to turn into a full crack. O'Brien's did an epoxy(?) vacuum injection, but said that at the size it was I could expect the outer layer to give way at some point. Five months now and still waiting. But the windscreen insurance cover has been active since we acquired the car - nearly two years now. How time flies. How long did the replacement/recalibration take? Cheers
