this story goes into the usa situation with grey imports
http://jalopnik.com/why-are-the-feds...-ol-1672381729 For those wondering if our own import laws might change after holden and ford go fully imported, i'd say unlikely, as manufacturers won't want to allow competition from grey imports.

That policeman being interviewed is a real jobsworth. And Department of Homeland Security is involved. Protecting against terrorism? No. Defending America from Land Rovers. Fine job boys.

Good article, my mind exaggerates this story...... I keep hearing the theme music from SWAT and seeing a land rover surrounded by about 50 armed men in black riot gear guns drawn......... Mam get out of that land rover.......... It could be an 85 model with the dangerous clear parking lenses !

Seriously, I expect this has come about on the urging of the local land Rover distributor who has an unwanted competitor for their new car sales. Wasn't there a suggestion that something like this is shaping up for Australia soon also?
Edit: what's with this highlighting and definition of "distributor"? Is this a new feature on AFF? If so, it's failed here because it's given the wrong definition! |
