I have to head out for one reson or another and bingo my car looks like it hasn't been touched in years, covered in road grime and what else. :

I know there is no solution apart from not driving it but i just felt like letting of steam!!!! :jab:

Any one else get this way or should i be going to anger management classes?? lol

well it is winter...... lol..

i dont spend anywhere near as much time keeping my car cleen through the winter as i do in the summer as i just know its going to rain or something and it end up going to crap again.....

just give it a quick wasn to keep the dirt and crap off it once a week IF its not raining and doesnt look as though its going to.....otherwise its just a waste of time anyway

yeah usually a hose off (while its still raining, you should see the looks i get from the neighbours : ) then i put it under cover an spend another 30 mins drying it down (takes so long cause i get in all unusual places like boot wells and toor wells)

Would be cool if we could invent paint that cleaned and dryed itself :thebirds:

just use my trick next, spend 4 hrs polishing and waxing it, then put it straight back in the garage, lol works every time hehe.

failing that buy a second car, or like me a truck as well, when ur on call u find it difficult to take it out so that way it stays clean almost all the time, except for when it gets dusty, now that can be a real drag. :nutsycuck

You should of washed your car yesterday then you would have got at least 24 hours driving in a nice clean car.

But had to have a laugh at your thread - I know how you feel.

Even if you wash you car down with a hose after you have gone for a drive it won't get rid of the excessive road grime thats splashed onto your car from wet roads.

this weather is a bloody joke.

It is near impossible to keep your car clean at the moment....... The ironic thing is when your chamoising your car in your garage, and its pouring rain outsde :P

Ah yes.. good old rain - I share your pain. I spent a good 4 hours detailing the car from top to bottom one weekend and locked it in the garage for a week. Of course the weather during that whole week was nice and sunny. Come Monday morning i reverse the thing out of the garage and it started p***ing down rain even though the sky was clear. The big man upstairs like playing tricks..

There is no way I can wash my car 5 times a day.

Let make the comparison to something I can relate too, changing jocks.! :

Every time I wash my car its guaranteed to rain within 24 hrs. I just can't win. Checked the weather report last weekend, was supposed to be fine, so washed the car. Came home 4 hrs later and it ****ed down on the way home. Not happy.

My brother swears once he was washing his BA and it started to rain, So he was going nuts getting the soap over it and it started to bucket down hard, So he let it go and 30-60min later when it stopped went out and got the cloth onto it and he believes it was as shinny as he has seen it.

Stop washing now, just clean windows and interior..........that way when the water restrictions hit it won't hurt so much.
Haven't washed the ute for about six months now.
