I have booked and going to L.A on 28 Oct..
Staying in L.V 3 Nov when Sema opens.. http://www.semashow.com/main/main.as...OWcom/HomePage Then long drive to Chicago / Naperville to see my brother.. Then drive or fly back to L.A...

Is it open to the general public or do you have to have an affiliation with the industry to enter, because that's what I thought was the case.

I thought SEMA was just the Las Vegas Auto Show.. the convention center there is huge... Picture Jeff's shed.... with another floor upstairs.... multiply by 3 buildings. I don't know if SEMA utilizes all of that space though. But NAB did, and it took forever to walk around.

I got GOOD deals on www.priceline.com
You can actually bid on hotel, rental car.. I got accom for $50 a day and car hire for $18 mediuam sized car.. More than 50% discount.. Sheesh times are tough over there !!

ebxr yep I'm there again for business I think for the 8th odd time.
I mostly deal at the Aapex show then venture around SEMA once I've done my work, love catching up fellow business companys I know displaying and just love the countless performance stands and ofcourse the CARS and the promo GIRLS !!! Bossxr8 you can register as Joe Bloggs Mechanical,International Visitor and your in no worries,the organisers just love it to boost attendance figures and boast what a success it all is haha...... As mentioned cheap as chips to get airfare and accomodation just do it ! Oz $.83cents laughing.

I went last year , was the best show i've ever been to . Get some comfy shoes ;) .The monorail is a good way to get there too .
