True friends don't say good-bye, they just take extended leaves of absences from each other. I think this might apply to as I am hoping that I may return (just like JC has several times ). My beloved AUII has gone. My daughter and partner drove it away Sunday night. I have had the car for as long as I have been on the Ford Forums, since 10-01-2005, a total of 8 years 6 months. I am going to keep the build thread going as I will 'maintain/fix" the car for my daughter. I will also post some thoughts as I look back over the years I have had no enjoyed driving my humble AU. I am looking for another AU (my wife really like the looks of the BA's ) So I hope to return. Time wil tell. UK

Thanks for the comments guys must appreciated. Been looking, thought hard about TMans ride but the k’s were too high to convince the wife). Not many Xr6’s or 8’s I like in NSW. Fairmont’s and even a Fairlane.

Yes Casper but as you now time moves on. My daughter is VERY happy. I would like to thank you for your inspiration when I first joined the forums (and the old AU falcon site). I have found memoires of your black beast. I know how much time it takes to support an online community. If it wasn’t for this forum I doubt I would have enjoyed my ride as much, it would have cost me more to run and I would have sold mu AU long ago. Fingers crossed I find another AU !!

For the record the Black beast has been gone a year now but its soul (and rims) live on in my current AU. I havent had the desire to move into anything else to be honest.

Quite a few cheap T series out on the market if that's your thing, otherwise a nice S2 XR8 would give great value.

There's been a few T1/T2 TE50's floating around for sub 15k, some as cheap as 8-10k.
