Default Carsales.com / Firefox Problems

Hey guys. A very unexciting thread but I was just keen to know if anyone else has problems with www.Carsales.com.au constantly crashing while using Firefox. Cheers.

I have had that same issue too. Your not alone. I dont know what the solution is. I keep sending emails to the firefox inventors in a hope they will get it fixed.

Mine does the same thing, so i use IE to view Carsales.

If you clear your cookies in Firefox, before you open Carsales it should work ok for a while, then it will crash again.

Is it the problem where you to go open a tab before its finished loading and it just crashes Firefox completely without giving an error? I've been getting that A LOT and it is annoying the crap out of me.

What gives me the absolute poopers is that you click restart to update firefox, it then closes off itself then chucks me an error saying the update could not be installed and goes into some infinite loop of trying to update itself and failing, happened on BOTH my PCs and i've had to uninstall and re-install it.

I'm amazed the site does not have best viewed in IE x.
Site works for a majority of users, and it is just plug an play for the delaers etc to get their informatrion up. Designed to interface with the Reynolds system.

meh, you know about it, so you just browse it in ie.

It seems to happen when you click and open a tab when the page/form hasn't finished loading up, it just crashes the browser.

Note to all..it does not happen everytime.
It happens sometimes to me, but sometimes, it doesn't.

If doesn't really matter anyway, because if you re-open, it should give you the option of re-loading where you were at.

haha yeah but sometimes for some reason it doesn't open where I left off... but opens where I left off on a previous occasion. Which can be embarasing if your showing your new girlfriend what car your looking at buying and suddenly www.fatchicksinpartyhats.com pops up.

Yep, carsales.com.au is java-heavy. A few months ago it used to crash FireFox all the time but it seems fine now, after a few java updates.

I'm using java version 6 update 10. Maybe check that java is set to automatically update itself. Hope this helps.

yeah it still does it for me even with the latest version of firefox installed.

Opera works very well though, many people haven't tried Opera i'm sure but it's a great browser.
