Many moons ago I remember seeing on this forum a link which enabled you see the build details of a Ford vehicle.
The link used a VIN to show details of the vehicle as it left the plant. Can anyone recall that link? I'd be most obliged if you could post it again for me Thanks |

I think you may be referring to Ford ETIS
https://www.etis.ford.com/ You can get basic information without having an account, but to get detailed information, you need to register and create an account. I'm not registered, but I know there are members on here who are, so if the registration process is not easy, there may be some on here who may help you out.

What info are you after? There's people on here who may be able to get the info you want (not me BTW).

I remember this from a few years ago now - on this forum - that you access the vehicle build details including options fitted. It also showed the engine type, transmission, upholstery type and colour, in short, a complete picture of your vehicle.

I've got the Ford letter for my latest AU3 Futura wagon, but it only provides the Major Features, and not the Minor Features. It has a REX entertainment system installed and their is some dispute over whether this would have been factory or dealer installed. I was hoping it might be listed in the Minor Features to clear that up? If anyone who still does have access to the above and would provide it for this VIN, it would be much appreciated - 6FPAAAJGWA2L29611 |

I'm trying to do the same for my XH S ute. I"m sure it came with Factory Dual Fuel, Aircon, Tbar auto, Factory Cruse, LSD etc etc but research via google says it no Xh came out With those. It has Giah badges but I don't know if it came from factory with those or it was added by a dealer.

That seems to settle the argument about the WEX entertainment system. They must have been a dealer fitted option. However now I need to work out what "with towing prep - ROW" means None of my other 6 AU's had that one. Although they all have tow bars. Maybe it means the other 6 are all after market? And this car is the only factory towbar (it is only the basic towbar setup). Searching the internet I could only find one other similar reference...for a 2014 Mondeo. |

"Options: 81 - Tow Pack 1600KG" I assume by the different labels for the tow pack that Ford Australia are accessing different records to the Etis database. |

Would that only be the heavy duty tow pack? The 2300kg one?
Because this wagon with the 1600kg tow pack doesn't have one now. It would be located in front of the air conditioner condensor? Nor does there seem to be mention of it in the Ford Australia letter. I separately have an auto AU3 sedan Option 20 (police pack) and that did come with a trans cooler. There is no mention about this in the Etis for that vehicle. But the Ford Australia letter for that sedan under Options mentions; "42 - High Capacity Cooling System" I'm beginning to feel that perhaps the Ford Australia letters are a more reliable database than Etis? Which is no help as it seems they have now stopped providing them :( |
