New standards are being proposed that will make modifying your car harder, especially when considering turboed, or supercharged V8's...

is this similar to ADR requirements?
ie. only applies to cars after the applied date?

I had a brief look at the engine mods document and it would seem that they are trying to tidy up the existing regs (in NSW at least) although I dont know why we need an unleaded fuel filler when there are no leaded bowsers left. 7.7 litres is reasonably generous for an XB GT in n/a form. Not so generous with a supercharger, only 4.6 litres. Maybe this is a response to high performance japanese vehicles and the bad press surrounding them.
I haven't read the document in its entirety though. As a large user group should Fordforums submit a response to the document or is that a can of worms that the mods would prefer not to open? Regards, Tote

Let us hope it is a more fruitful effort at nationalising the standards than the ADR proved to be. i.e. different states having their own "interpretation" under the vehicle standards acts.

I really can't see any difference from current Victorian RWC/ADR requirements?
