Ok, did a few searches and found no topics similar to this.
So over the last 40 odd years what have been the fastest aussie made fords down the quarter mile? Ford claimed figures and personnel experiences...

Would have to be the new turbo in a 6 speed auto no?
Ive heard of a couple of very low 14 and late 13 sec times, closely followed then by the GTHO (with todays tyre technology) I would say. |

As allways though there will be endless debate about what constitutes an "official" 1/4 time, the mags seem to allways be a fair way off anicdotal evidence of what owners get from individual examples at the track though.... Some examples (that i know of) of stock vehicles doing excellent times above what is generally accepted is F6 13.00.. BAGT 13.50.. BAXR8 13.70.. stock Phase 3 on good tyres 13.80 with the 3.5 diff. Im sure this will erupt into debate though!

Plenty of stock ones in high 13s ... slightly modded (CAI and exhaust) in low 13s. |

If that's correct, that is a very impressive time from a standard F6!

T3s had the crown for years, untill the F6 with ZF 6speed auto came along.

Problem with the Cortinas they were tall geared, but on 13" wheels. Ran at around 2400 to do 100kmh. 2.92 or 2.77 ratio.

Just about any old junkyard you can find a windsor sitting next to its old buddy the clevo staring across to its old mate the 265
problem with the ba gt is the weight. alot of people do rather the t3 but some dont. personal preference f6 6speed for quickest aussie ford. Bit embaressing considering the traditional muscle feel of ford, the traditional toughness, macho v8 hairy chested nature and the hi tech turbo 6 is up there! lol all good fun if its got a ford badge and its quick its good if it can turn its even better! lets not go that far though :P

Whats the point of how fast a stock car is?
If you get beaten by a modded one, your still beaten.. And in heads up racing, the fastest car wont always win, think about that one.. |

Granted you'll rarely find an unmodified car on this forum, but the stock quarter mile times are a fairly good indicator of the performance of the car.

I have had a T3 and a BA GT both manual. 14.3 for the TS 14.1 for the GT.
