Got that dreaded phone call this morning... A drunk driver had stacked it into the back of my pride and joy. Luckily the better half wasnt in the car when old mate hit it.
In the last pic, the lady on the far left of the pic, is where the front of our car was before he hit it.

Fair out, that was a hard hit! Glad no one was injured. Bummer about your car though.
I'm amazed though how well the 4WD looks.

Bloody mongrel waste of space drink drivers, there's nothing I loathe more. It's such a selfish dog act, to get wasted then risk people's lives by getting behind the wheel. Really sorry to hear your pride and joy is gone mate, but at least nobody was hurt.

Jeez, looks like the Suzuki won !.
Hopefully there is insurance involved and you are not having to fork out any dollars.

Looks like a lot of damage but, your car probably saved that drunks life. With the crumple zone at the rear absorbing all the impact. He's lucky he didn't hit a tree.

looks a big hit, this is why i like big cars, there`s still more crumple area before the back seat gets hit.

Probably wont be going FGII. Probably getting the wife a Focus sport hatch, and I will be getting a Patrol Turbo Diesel as we had talked about trading this one in shortly anyway.

Glad no-one hurt. I find it amazing how much force was obviously involved and how much body compression occurred yet from the back of the rear doors forward it looks untouched. Maybe if we do a forum group buy of the write-off we can develop an FG wagon....a proper one.

both passenger doors were wedged shut, as is the drivers side rear door. Took a bit of an effort to get them open when I was clearing the car out of all our personal stuff.
