Just did mine online.
Really upset that they didn't modify the questions to accommodate for COVID. Have you worked in the last 2 weeks? 'No' Have you actively been looking for work? 'No'. So the records show I'm a lazy bludger It's an online form... They could have done more to show the effect Covid has made on each household. Perhaps even asked questions about vaccination and availability etc. I gave them feedback at the end.. of course it will be looked at probably never. I'm sure I'm not the first to say that in their feedback.

Did mine on line too, can't believe there were only 2 genders to choose from.
Wait for the lgbtqizay to kick up about it. And no, I had no trouble selecting my gender, male.

That wasn't what I experienced on the online version on the weekend. There were only two options: male or female. Surprised me that there was no other option.

Not on the online one, just like Adam and Eve, M or F were the only options, not even "other"

Haven't done mine. They say they use this data to plan for the future. Is this ammo for NSW to do nothing for the next 5 years because this census will reveal that we never do anything? Apart from some essential workers going to work.

thought it was meant to be anonymous
and yet they need to know who you are (full name) and who you work for (and their address) and if you consent to them keeping this info Hmmm

Apparently, doing this is bad as it skews the population towards being religious, so then the government allows for more religious views and funding to religious entities. You should choose No Religion if your not religious at all. It provides a better data set on what the population actually follows.

It is anonymous in the way the data is used. The data is sent to one division while the name and address are sent to another as a check to see that you have completed it. Once the identity check is done and verified that part sails out into the wild, blue yonder.
The comments above about work are indeed valid and the replies could easily skew the real picture. The forms, in their millions were printed some time back with much discussion about the virus and it's effect beforehand. It became a logistical nightmare that will be dealt with by matching lockdown areas at the time with some of the answers supplied. There simply wasn't time to do any sort of updated run before the forms had to be distributed. Feedback from private citizens is taken quite seriously after each Census. There's also a massive feedback session involving employees from all levels of employment from the big boss right down to the people who actually deliver the forms. |

Governance has progressively eroded our trust in bureaucracy to possibly below that we indulge PayPal with… Charades of analysis and consultation that should reflect elements of a gross statistical traverse, which in reality are briskly attending to a foregone conclusion; a “done deal”.
