Hi
Got my fiesta st a couple weeks ago , loving it so far . The recaros look awesome but I'm a bit worried about how they're going to wear , especially the side bolsters from getting in and out Bought some cheapie seat covers but gave up on them because they don't fit , found a place in the UK that does fitted ones but they are $200 shipped here How are people's recaros holding up after a few kms ? Thanks |

I've had mine for a bit over a year and done about 17,000km, the seats are holding up fine so far. They seem to be pretty hard wearing.

Had my ST for almost a year and a half and the seats and inside still look brand new. I scotch guarded them when new witch was a good call. Didnt like the interior much when i first got the car but find it a really pleasant place to be now. I've even warmed to to stereo over time!

I've never had Recaros but did have a set of Scheels in my old ESP - learn to plant your bum in first and then swing your hips into the seat or if the seat is too close to the steering wheel - slide the seat back a few notches to give you the extra gap.

Seat covers: Sperling http://sperling.com.au - list a seat cover in their catagloue for a Proton Satria GTi. That car came with Recaro seats from the factory.
It might be a misprint or error by Sperling, but worth looking into. For Recaro parts, look into www.capitalseating.co.uk

Thanks
Capital seating are the only ones I found that are custom made , but I emailed them and it's $230 for 2x front . Just a bit too much I think , might just leave it |

I can confirm that the white parts still look brand new in my car. Easily the best part of the interior in these cars - once you get the position right.

I can give you some good news on the recaro's. I work in the quarry industry and am up to 56,000 km allready and apart from having to wipe the cloth down with a damp sponge a few times for dirt etc they are not showing any real signs of wear on the fabric including the tops of the bolster's so this does not look like it will be an issue at all.
