Thanks Fadi appreciate it,

I am still yet to come over and do the DVD installation. Haven't had the time and the funds yet. Bills etc and Christmas coming has sent my budget through the roof. How much is the cost of the DVD Player? I take it this one isn't the standard DVD player you use now or is it?

Thanks fadi 720 bucks sounds alright to me. Err if you don't hear from me then the missus has jumped down my throat. But I do intend on getting it done very soon. I am very interested in that DVD player that has the usb ports and want it.

Hi Fadi,

How do they fit in the tissue box? I have a Blaupunkt one in there at the moment which comes out of the tissue box approx 2cm. Does this one come out of the tissue box at all?

Also, how is the silver match for the silver ICC cover? Look similar?

Cheers

Hi

the dvd we supply fits 100% where the tissue box. very compact dvd player, and color wise, looks really neat either if you have the silver color ICC or black, as you can tell from the picture above, the one we supply has the 2 colors.

regards

Just wondering in response to the above post, how do the files show up on the ICC screen when accessed from a USB hard drive you connect to player. I gues MP3 files etc would just play as a track listing?..i.e. name, track length etc. What different file types does the DVD player you supply recognise, either burnt onto a DVD or through the extrenal inputs? Windows Media player files (video format) or will it just recognise the MP3 format for playback through ICC screen?

Regards,
Nigel

just note ppl that to get your external drives to work through the usb input they will have to be formatted to fat32.

Hello, Been a long time since this thread was updated. But, I have previously bought an ASL installed BV2600U setup out of a BA. Is it possible to run ipod through the USB slot?

No worries. Tried today, but the USB to Ipod cable will not work as the ipod is not in correct format. But - Kit is wonderful. Its a credit to you're company. Excellent workmanship and seamless integration with the BA ICC.

Well done.

Another question, sorry to rack you're brains. In theory - Would it be possible to use RCA splitters on the audio plug to allow an extra RCA input to be added? I wanna add a RCA to 3.5mm audio plug cable so i can play ipod also. Any help appreciated.

You shouldn't have a problem using splitters on the aux audio loom input as you will never use both devices at the same time. It will save unpluging one to input the other.

cheers

Hi fadi,
Once you fit this complete DVD kit how do you prevent the ICC screen from going dim when you switch on the headlights? Wouldn't the image be too dark to view when the headlights are ON?

hi

please call us on tuesday so we can rectify your problem, tomorrow is a labor day in victoria. Sounds likes you need a bypass to allow the switching between cam and dvd.

Are you able to use a car dvd player of any brand with asl's RGB kit and will they still fit in the tissue box? Also these asl dvd players are just plug in to the RGB kit and play Correct? Also what the cigarette power cord on them, is that to power them is that the only way?

the boss seems to be the smallest one ive came across so far,and very few will fit as well as the Boss,as far as i know it comes with both a cig plug and hard wire loom .you could use any dvd player i guess with the kit,as long as its NTSC output capable.but also the boss matchs most colour schemes of the fords especially the XR6/8.

Slip.

P.S still waiting for an answer for my question,,,anyone can comment?
