Good to see you back bunter. Headlights are an issue and there is no real quick fix.

Did you get your ECU fixed OK in the end ???

turned out to be the ABS module the ******* that shorted out the wires while the car was ign on blew the ABS trying to install the footwell lights and they said they didnt do it had to get fair trading in on it and they stuffed around then fair trading steped in told them to get there *** in gear and fix the problem.

then they delaid fixing the car it was in and out of ford at smithfield, as thats who we said we would only send our cougar to, and the assholes tried to do a dodgy and get there guy to fix it, they end up fixing it after a while and coped a fine for stuffing us around, thats one up for fair trading

spoke to the guy at pontiworld he has kids but said use what ever people use to polish up headlights on the EF/el fords so need to see what works and what dont

I have used the one available from Autobarn and its quite good as long as you follow instructions properly and do it with lot of patience and with consistency as Cougar headlights are quite big and has uneven surface. Kit costs $39. I dont remember the name but there is only one available in Autobarn store. Am currently overseas, once am back I can give u the name. It has some 5 or 6 types of sand papers and as long as you follow instructions carefully and do it by hand, you will be able to achieve close to factory condition.

PS: With this kit, until u finish the last step you dont see the actual result. Dont give up inbetween.
