"The 5.8-liter V8 aluminum-block engine produces 650 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful production V8 in the world. The 3,850-pound car also stays exempt from the gas-guzzler tax." - Quoted for easy reading.

We had RHD Mustangs at about the same price as a TS50 (GT-P) here a few years ago, they were abject failures as far as sales were concerned. Corvette QLD has a few converted ones and there is a Roush for sale up here if you are keen. Last edited by flappist; 15-11-2011 at 09:29 PM. |

I have been up there a couple a times.....but sorry no takers here for them prices......the whole US/AUS price difference is just to ludicrous for me.... How many RHD countrys are there where they could market them....???

at $500,000 a piece, that's $20,000 per car before you land it here and do the conversion. Had the Mustang been engineered from get go for RHD, the cost would have been far less and roughly, $20,000 a car could have been shaved off by doing everything under the original project. That interest actually sparked Ford to do the XR8 and GT at the same price as converted Mustangs. IMO, if Ford introduced the Mustang here, it would end the need for Falcon to be all things to all people, we might actually get a better suited Falcon for our market that captures more sales while the mustang would allow FPV to pursue other objectives....like tuner versions of the wider Ford range.. Awesome, at a comparable price I would buy a Mustang here. Thanks for the new background porn.

FPV say 335kw (450HP) is too much for a live rear for the utes, while the yanks hammer out 200+ extra on top
