Default Momo wheel and gear knob

G'day all,

A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to pick up a nice original AU Series 2 XR8 sedan. The car is a factory manual transmission and came optioned with the Momo steering wheel and gear knob from Tickford.

The steering wheel is showing a fair bit of wear and unfortunately the gear knob was probably similarly worn and has been replaced with an aftermarket knob sometime in its life.

Firstly I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with getting one of these Momo wheels refurbished, or have any recommendation regarding steering wheel refurbishment generally.

Secondly, I'm keen to pick up a genuine Momo shifter knob. Even a well worn example would suffice as I could hopefully get that refurbished at the same time as the wheel if it's doable.

Cheers,

Russ.

If you could post your General Location, City, Suburb or Town and also the
State. As an example in NSW, Qld, S.A and Vic has a place named Croydon.
It would help for recommending a nearby business.

Thanks EBSXR6. I'm at Trinity Beach in the Cairns area (Far North Qld) however I'm happy to post this wheel to anywhere in Australia if I can find someone who will do a good job on it.

Thanks GT. I did find their website whilst madly googling a few days ago. The Anatomico short black leather model would be a fairly close match to the AU Momo gear knob I'd reckon. I'll give them a call re the steering wheels. I thought the BA, BF, FG ones they have listed are not too badly priced in the scheme of things.

I've reviewed a bunch of sites too, but haven't found the right one. The price here is fine, I'm happy with it.

I think that Anatomico short one is about as close as we're going to get mate.

To refurb a leather steering wheel in Sydney is about $300. Just got my FG wheel done.

Where did you get yours done ? I recently found a 'chunky wheel' from a Fairmont Ghia, that needs a refurb.
