There was a company in the early 80's that produced these two door XE's (out of Melbourne I think) I even remember seeing one as a convertible (in Hobart around 1991) - it did nothing for me!!

Paul you would be thinking of Spanmor limousines. That's not one of their cars though, the Spanmor ones had a tapered C pillar.
