Regarding 'problems' with the Fiesta... check out this thread. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=92029

I don't have any problems with it so far, and not planning to have any. Best new car you can get for under $20,000. Similar straight line speed as the competitors BUT the Fiestas have MUCH better handling (fact) than the others. Build quality is well above average.

Oh, and please dont get the 5-door... it's a waste of $500. _2:

Anyways, have the test drive... check out the car as much as possible and tell us what you think about the WQ Zetec.

G'day. I bought a Fiesta Zetec 3dr manual in June last year and so far it's been brilliant! Best handling car I've driven. It's not super-fast, but it's great fun. Ride quality is better that I expected, but it revs a little fast on the freeway for my liking. Go for it - you won't be sorry.

Mine was $21990 on the road with nearly all the extras. They threw in the spoiler though. Still the best handling car you can get for the money. Iv've had no real issues in the 1 year on saturday since I bought it. The rust issue is unsightly, but I don't beleive it's structural. Fords service is a bit lax, but will get there in the end. The parts guy here is great, but the service guys are a bit slow.

I bought one two years ago..great car.better than the Hyundai **** boxes. Averages 7l/100kms. No problems to date. Runs better on PULP than ULP.

Nice!

Yeah, the manual recommends minimum 95RON PULP. It still can run on 91RON ULP but engine's NVH level increases and performance decreases.

Darkcloud... the road in NT with unlimited speed limit is no more. It's now limited to 130km/h unfortunately.

I reckon we need a lot of autobahns here in Australia.

And hopefully the CLP gets back in power. Then we can actually have some one who knows what they are doing run the place and we can have our unlimited KM back.
(enough politics - I'm sorry ;))

Pics in the morning. I'm very happy with the car.

Okay guys sorry I've got no pictures yet.

But... I went out to Buleys Rock Hole for a swim today (Litchfield National Park about 280 Km there and back) and on the way I went to a mates place for a drive on his private road.. 170 Km/h @ 5200 rpm and still pulling. Sits on 140 Km/h ~ 4200 rpm which would make a comfortable cruise speed if you were allowed to do so...

You can feel every bump ;)

No offence, you might want to tell your mum that you can get a new LX focus for 20k drive away.
